The Philadelphia Eagles could receive even more compensation than was initially thought when they originally traded Haason Reddick to the New York Jets in the offseason.

According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, the Eagles would receive a 2026 second-round draft pick from the Jets if New York trades Reddick to an NFC team.

Anderson previously reported on Oct. 1 that the Jets’ 2026 conditional pick was involved in the deal, but that it “depended on the specifics of where Reddick ends up if he’s traded again.”

When the deal was originally announced on April 1, it was for a third-round pick in 2026 that could become a second-rounder if certain conditions were met. These specific terms were assumed to be based on playing time and performance benchmarks.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported at the time (h/t ESPN’s Rich Cimini) that the Eagles would get a second-round pick if Reddick played 67.5 percent of the defensive snaps and recorded 10 sacks for the Jets.

Reddick still has not participated in any activity with the Jets since a contract extension trade fell through. He is owed $14.3 million this season, in the final year of a three-year, $45 million contract signed with Philadelphia in March 2022.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, CAA released Reddick as a client last week and he declined to sign a one-year extension with the Jets. According to Rapoport, the 30-year-old has hired Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha as his new agents.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported Tuesday that the Jets have given Reddick’s camp a “short window” to seek a trade, with Rosenhaus contacting teams to gauge their interest.

Reddick averaged 20.8 quarterback hits, 12.8 tackles for loss and 12.7 sacks per season from 2020-23. Will McDonald is currently the only Jets player with more than 2.5 sacks in six games this season.

The NFL trade deadline is November 5th at 4:00 p.m. ET.
