NFL power rankings based on Super Bowl odds prior to Week 8 (Chiefs remain perfect, Pac

Week 7 of the NFL featured plenty of great matchups on Sunday, including a Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs achieved another victory in this matchup as underdogs and remained undefeated this season – the only undefeated team in the NFL.

That’s right, the Minnesota Vikings ultimately lost in Week 7, falling to the Detroit Lions. Detroit is red hot right now, going 5-1 in six games and sitting atop the NFC North. Right behind the lions and Vikings?

The Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love, who beat the Houston Texans 5-1 (now 5-2) in a last-second win in Week 7.

What do the latest Super Bowl odds look like given the big movement among the top teams?

Here’s a breakdown of the odds for each team ahead of Monday Night Football’s two-game slate in Week 7.

Opportunities via DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Chiefs have a perfect 6-0 record and – despite two Patrick Mahomes picks – remained in flux in Week 7. At +400 they have now reached their peak in the odds before week 8.

Can Lamar Jackson and the Ravens extend their winning streak to five on Monday night?

The Lions rattled off two straight wins, beating Dallas and then beating undefeated Minnesota on the road. They have a pretty clear path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC if they continue to play this well.

I won’t let Minnesota fall too far, as it came close with the Lions before losing on a last-second field goal. This team is still considered a real contender in the NFC.

Jordan love

Three NFC North teams in the top five? After defeating the Texans in Week 7, Green Bay is 5-2 and doing well with Jordan Love under center. I love Green Bay at this current price in the Super Bowl odds.

Buffalo defeated the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 after falling to 10-0 in an early hole. With Miami losing again in Week 7, Buffalo has a pretty clear path to the No. 1 seed in the AFC East at this point in the season.

I won’t mention Houston far on my list, but it’s worth noting that the Texans’ odds increased from +1100 to +1600 after the loss to Green Bay.

Saquon Barkley.

Philly earned an easy win over the New York Giants in Week 7 as Saquon Barkley torched his former team. If the offense gets going, Philly will be in contention for the top spot in the NFC.

The San Francisco 49ers’ odds fell sharply after the loss to the Chiefs – from +650 to +1200. They may also have lost Brandon Aiyuk for the season due to a torn ACL…

Will Tampa Bay have a home loss against the Ravens on Monday?

Jayden Daniels.

Jayden Daniels was injured in Week 7, but Marcus Mariota stepped in and thrived in defeating the Panthers. Can Washington (5-2) hold onto this top spot in the NFC East?

The Bears were on a bye in Week 7.

The Chargers will look to win against Arizona on Monday night in Week 7 as road favorites.

Pittsburgh dominated the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football in the first game of the Russell Wilson era. At 5-2, Pittsburgh is a real playoff contender this season.

Here we go again. The Bengals move to 3-4 on the season at +2800 and have won the Super Bowl heading into a Week 8 showdown with Philly.

It was cool to see the Falcons take on the NFC South, but in Week 7 they were defeated by the Seahawks. Atlanta needs to get back on track with Tampa Bay (4-2) and claim first place in the division on Monday night.

Seattle avoided a four-game losing streak and defeated Atlanta, improving its Super Bowl odds from +5000 to +3500.

The Cowboys were on a bye in Week 7.

Sean Payton.

The Denver Broncos are 4-3 with the Carolina Panthers waiting in Week 8. Does Sean Payton’s team have a shot at the playoffs this season?

Yes, the Colts beat the Dolphins in Week 7. No, Anthony Richardson (10 of 24) didn’t look good. I can’t trust this Indy team in the future if he’s the focus.

Davante Adams hasn’t made enough of a difference for the Jets, who are now just 2-5 on the season. They need a tremendous winning streak to get back into contention for the playoffs and the AFC East in 2024.

Cooper Kupp.

The Rams defense played a prominent role in Week 7, committing four turnovers against the Raiders. Now help is on the way. Sean McVay confirmed that star receiver Cooper Kupp is expected to return in Week 8.

Even if Tua Tagovailoa returns in Week 8, the Dolphins can’t stop the run and have already dug themselves a 2-4 hole. Mike McDaniel also wasn’t able to get Tyreek Hill to the ball without Tua under center – a big problem if the quarterback isn’t free soon.

Dennis Allen.

Make it five straight losses for the New Orleans Saints, who may be out of playoff contention before Derek Carr takes another snap in 2024.

Arizona would like to pull off an upset at the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night.

Brian Daboll benched Daniel Jones after a blowout loss to Philly. At some point the Giants just have to move on…

I don’t want to give the Jaguars too much credit for beating New England, but Brian Thomas Jr. looks like a star in his rookie season.

Antonio Pierce.

Another loss for the Raiders, who turned the ball over four times against the previously victorious Los Angeles Rams. Antonio Pierce’s spot could get hot…

Will Levis is out with a shoulder injury and the Titans fell apart after leading the Bills 10-0 on Sunday. At this point, Tennessee needs to start thinking about what’s next at the quarterback spot.

Deshaun Watson likely tore his Achilles tendon on Sunday, and backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson injured his finger. The one-win Browns are getting worse from week to week.

Drake Maye looks promising, but Jerod Mayo called his football team “soft” after a stunning loss to the Jaguars in London on Sunday. Things aren’t going so well in Foxborough.

Andy Dalton.

How on earth does Andy Dalton still start for this football team?
