Each week we’ll review some of the content included in DFS Pass and discuss some of our most confident plays on Sunday. A lot can change over the weekend, especially if there is injury news (see Betz’s Injury Blitz podcast) and roster percentages shift as to who is in or out before the roster lockout. Let’s take a look back.

Locked In Cash Games

Borg – I have Breece Hall is in my cash lineup this week. He was featured in Marvin Elequin’s Expectation Report and since playcalling was shifted to Todd Downing over the last two weeks, Hall has 41 touchdowns and 88 total snaps. Braelon Allen looks like a distant memory at this point and the Patriots run defense is abysmal. They are PFF’s 27th ranked run defense and rank 31st in projected-adjusted fantasy points allowed at the RB position. Regardless of the script of the game, Hall will be involved in the offense.

Betz – Provided we get a clean bill of health Tyreek HillIt’s in there for me for just $7,000. It’s been ages since ‘Reek was available to play in fantasy games, and now we’re getting a $1,700 discount on his Week 1 salary in a matchup against the Cardinals. Should Hill opt out or we get negative reports about his health Jaylen Waddle is an easy pivot at just $5,400.

DraftKings core games

These are the 3-5 players at each position that we have mixed in our cash player pool. Due to salaries, late notices, and budget constraints, it’s guaranteed that you won’t be able to accommodate all of them. But their high floors and team implied totals make them great plays this week in both cash and GPPs.

These are simply listed in order of most popular core players. Obviously, you won’t be able to fit everyone on a cash statement, and there are salary trade-offs for pay at every position.

Love is the perfect mix of salary, proven floor space, and upside potential in this week’s highest implied team total of the week. Bo Nix and the Broncos as a double-digit favorite is also tempting, but ultimately it comes down to Nix or Javonte Williams in your money lineup. We’re rooting for Joe Burrow for sheer passing volume and weapons. The highly prized QBs (Lamar, Allen & Hurts) will all be on the short roster, so be prepared to go there in tournaments. Very few QBs can hit a 30+ DK point ceiling like these guys.
