Netflix fans have hailed new film Don’t Move as the “thriller of the year” as it topped the charts just days after its release.

Don’t Move, produced by Sam Raimi, tells the story of Iris (Yellowstone star Kelsey Asbille), a woman who finds herself in a dire situation in the middle of the forest in Big Sur, California.

She mourns the loss of her son Mateo and meets a man named Richard (Finn Wittrock) who comforts her in her distress.

However, when she decides to go home, Richard tasers her, ties her up, and injects her with a substance that gives her only 20 minutes before her entire body shuts down.

Now she finds herself in a race against time to reach safety as the drug slowly begins to paralyze her, preventing her from screaming and unable to move over time.

It fared slightly better on aggregator sites – where fans gave ratings based on their own feedback on the film.

The picture scored 6.2 out of 10 on IMDb, while the score on Rotten Tomatoes was slightly lower at 52%.
