Nebraska Volleyball No. 2 defeats Montana State

After the No. 2 Nebraska volleyball team lost to unranked SMU earlier this week, they knew their next opponents would be tough, but those opponents managed to make only one of the six sets at the Husker Invitational even competitive.

After sweeping The Citadel on Thursday, the Huskers swept Montana State on Saturday afternoon: 25-19, 25-15, 25-10. NU is now 5-1 on the season.

The Huskers posted a .400 batting average in this game and held the Bobcats to .128.

Harper Murray was the top attacker with 11 kills and a .400 batting average. Midfielders Andi Jackson and Rebekah Allick combined for 13 kills and both had batting averages of at least .500.

Bergen Reilly had 37 assists and was tied with Lexi Rodriguez for the team’s highest assists with eight.

Nebraska stays home on Tuesday to host Creighton.
