On Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors won by a score of 124-106 and improved to 3-1 in their first four games of the new season.

Buddy Hield had an outstanding performance with 28 points, one rebound, one assist and two steals while shooting 9/18 from the field and 7/11 from three-point range in 29 minutes of play.

The Warriors needed Hield’s big night as they played without two-time MVP Steph Curry.

The former Oklahoma star has played his first four games with the Warriors averaging 21.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 51.7% from the field and 55.6% from three-point range.

Hield is in his ninth NBA season.

The loss dropped the Pelicans to 2-2 in their first four games.

The two teams will meet (again) in San Francisco on Wednesday evening.
