Coach Murat Yakin is making three changes to the starting eleven for the home game against Denmark compared to the game against Serbia. Edimilson Fernandes, Ulisses Garcia and Fabian Rieder start.

Fernandes, who has been under contract with Brest since this season, replaces the suspended Silvan Widmer. His Ligue 1 colleague Garcia (Marseille) will play on the left wing in place of Ricardo Rodriguez. It was not initially clear from the player list whether Yakin would also change the system. It is quite possible that Fernandes and Garcia will form a back four together with Nico Elvedi and Manuel Akanji. Switzerland recently played with a three-man chain.

Michel Aebischer will sit on the bench in place of Rieder, who came on as a substitute at half-time against Serbia. Like Dan Ndoye, the player on loan from VfB Stuttgart is likely to be used on the wing. The midfield will be made up of the experienced duo Remo Freuler and captain Granit Xhaka. Up front, Yakin will rely on Zeki Amdouni and Breel Embolo.

This will be the third meeting between the two national teams this year. So far there has been a draw for Switzerland in March and a defeat in September. At the home game in St. Gallen, the Swiss want to score points in the Nations League for the first time. Kick-off in Kybunpark is at 8:45 p.m.

Switzerland line-up: Kobel; Fernandes, Elvedi, Akanji, Garcia; Rieder, Freuler, Xhaka, Ndoye; Amdouni; Embolo.

Denmark’s line-up: Schmeichel; Kristensen, Vestergaard, Nelsson; Bah, Eriksen, Höjbjerg, Dorgu; Isaksen, Höjlund, Grönbeck.
