A CULT favorite with a hefty price tag may have met its match.

One daughter said her mother had found the perfect copy of a much more expensive body spray.

Redditor Milkinashoe wrote about his mother’s shopping at Dollar Tree in a post on Reddit.

“I was given the Sol de Janeiro 62 Pistachio and Salted Caramel hair and body mist as a gift and although I haven’t used it yet, I think it smells amazing,” she said.

“I didn’t realize it was so sought after until I got it, and I didn’t even know the price.”

She later found out that her mother had taken a trip to Dollar Tree.

“My mom comes home from the dollar store with an exact fake,” she said.

“It actually contains an aerosol and like I said, I’ve never worn the original so I don’t know how the longevity compares, but it smells exactly the same and costs $1.25.”

The daughter revealed the name of the Dollar Tree scam.

“It’s the power stick for her Brazilian Mist style body spray, she bought it at Dollar Tree,” she revealed.

“As far as I know, it’s not a deodorant or anything like that. I just wanted to mention that because it might look like one since it’s from Power Stick.”

Its sweet caramel and pistachio notes have given it cult status.

“I just bought this too and I kind of like the fake one too, it’s very strong,” wrote one.

They added that the smell lasted for three hours and lingered in the room where they sprayed the product.

One shopper said there was more to discover in Dollar Tree’s assortment.

“Apparently there is also a shower gel from the same brand,” they said.

“I got the shower gel today,” replied another. “I’m excited to try it out.”

“I saw your post a few days ago and went hunting,” said another.

“I found it last night, it smells really good. I used it this morning, but I applied it over my Dolce & Gabbana Devotion.”
