Muslim and Arab American community leaders in New York support Trump at an event in the Bronx

Members of the Muslim and Arab American communities supported former President Donald Trump during an event in the Bronx on Thursday morning.

About 20 community leaders and imams — along with former Long Island congressman and 2022 Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin, a surrogate for Trump’s campaign — supported the Republican presidential candidate in the “Little Yemen” section of the Bronx.

“Our communities are tired of woke ideology. “They are tired of the indoctrination of their children,” Massad Boulos, the father-in-law of Trump’s daughter Tiffany, said after the campaign rally for voters with ties to the Middle East.

“They are making this shift to the Republican Party. “This is where their natural place should be and is,” he told The Post.

Boulos, a Lebanese-born businessman, said the Biden-Harris administration had failed to end the wars in Gaza and Lebanon or help ensure the return of all those captured by Hamas after the terror group’s Oct. 7, 2023, invasion Hostages secure Israel.

“This time that voice will be heard. “You will have a big say in the election of the 47th president of the United States,” Boulos said after the election rally at a Yemeni restaurant called Alwaha on White Plains Road.

“We are fortunate that most of them support President Trump,” he added.

“The approval and support we have received from both the Christian and Muslim communities in the Middle East is simply unprecedented.”

Arab and Muslim Americans are key voting blocs in the battleground state of Michigan, where Boulos ran with Trump.

“President Trump is honored to receive and accept the support of the Arab American community here in New York City,” Zeldin told the group of supporters in the Bronx.

Karim Elsammak, an Egyptian-born airline pilot, said at the event that it was “time” to turn away from the Democratic Party.

“It’s time to turn the page on the Democratic Party, which only shows up when it needs our vote,” he said.

“It is time to take our rightful place in the party that most aligns with our values and beliefs. It’s time to join the Republican Party.”
