Music by Frankie Valli in the Doylestown Summer Arts Series

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Thompson Summer Performing Arts Series continues on Wednesday, September 4, with a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

The music begins at 7 p.m. when Lights Out takes the stage at the C&N Amphitheater in Central Park in Doylestown Township. The band was supposed to perform earlier in the summer, but their performance was canceled due to rain.

Described as “the nation’s largest tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons,” the band takes audiences on a “journey through musical time” with a high-energy show, tight harmonies, soaring falsetto vocals, comedy, audience participation and an engaging personality.

The four-person, multi-talented vocal group has been entertaining audiences for years by focusing on the art of harmony and the pure sound of voices. LIGHTS OUT began as four friends who loved to sing in their college dorm rooms and now performs shows from city to city across the country.

Their show includes Frankie Valli’s top hits including “Sherry,” “Walk Like A Man,” “My Eyes Adored You,” “Let’s Hang On” and “December ’63.”

The free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Doylestown Township’s Central Park.

The series continues with:

  • Class Act (dance band) on September 11th (replacement concert)
  • Bigg Romeo (dance band) on 18 September (replacement concert)
  • Cherry Lane Band (Rock and roll with a touch of soul). The band will perform a replacement concert as part of the community’s Food Truck Festival on September 22nd from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The free summer concert series is sponsored by the Thompson Organization, which consists of four auto dealerships: Thompson Toyota, Thompson BMW, Thompson Lexus Doylestown and Thompson Lexus Willow Grove, as well as Thompson Detail Center and Thompson Collision Center.

The event is free and open to the public and takes place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Doylestown Central Park (weather permitting). For more information about parking and public transportation about the Doylestown Dart, click here.
