News 9’s “Movie Man” previews four films coming out Friday.

Alien: Romulis is the seventh installment in the science fiction horror Alien series. It follows a group of young intergalactic colonists who encounter a terrifying life form while raiding a derelict space station. This film is rated R.

My Penguin Friend tells the story of an unhappy fisherman who finds happiness for the first time in years when he forms a special bond with a penguin he rescues from a nearby oil spill. When the penguin suddenly disappears into the vastness of the ocean again, he believes it will be impossible to see his friend again. Through several miracles, the penguin travels thousands of miles to the person who nursed him back to health. This film is rated PG.

Based on a best-selling nonfiction book by Jeff Hobbs, Rob Peace tells the story of Robert Peace, who grew up in an impoverished neighborhood in Newark and later studied at Yale on a scholarship. Peace led a double life: while earning degrees in molecular biophysics and biochemistry, he sold marijuana to help his father, who he believes was wrongfully convicted of murder. This film is rated 18+.

Skincare is a fictional film based on true events. It follows famous esthetician Hope Goldman, played by Elizabeth Banks. Goldman is about to take her career to the next level by launching her own skincare line. But complications arise when an esthetician named Angel opens a new skincare boutique right across the street from her studio. She begins to suspect that someone is trying to sabotage her reputation and business. She and her boyfriend Jordan embark on a mission to uncover the mystery of who is trying to destroy her life. This film is rated R.
