Motor City Machine Guns win WWE debut, face #DIY in Tag Team Number Contender’s Match

The Motor City Machine Guns emerged victorious in their WWE debut on the October 18 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Ahead of Friday’s show, WWE released a clip of the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) officially signing their WWE SmackDown contracts. They then faced A-Town Down Under and Los Garza on Friday in a match that would see the winner advance to the Number One Contender’s Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship the following week.

Sabin and Shelley scored the victory as they showcased their impressive chemistry throughout the match.

At the start of the show, the Street Profits faced #DIY and Pretty Deadly in another qualifying match. #DIY picked up the controversial win as they got the pin at the same time as the Street Profits, but they were declared the winners because the Street Profits failed to pin the legal man.

As a result, the Motor City Machine Guns will face #DIY in a Number One Contender Match on the October 25 episode of WWE SmackDown. The winner will receive a shot at the titles currently held by The Bloodline.
