Mayor Jurgensen opened the July 16, 2024 budget work session at Uniontown City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Council members present were Jess Ervin, Danea Esslinger (5:42 p.m.), Amber Kelly, Mary Pemberton and Bradley Stewart. Also present for all or part of the meeting were City Treasurer Charlene Bolinger and City Clerk Sally Johnson.

Secretary Johnson explained why she believes the 2024 budget needs to be amended and presented her proposals to amend the General Fund and the Special Highway Fund. The Council approved the proposals and proposed a hearing date of August 13, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

Secretary Johnson and Treasurer Bolinger presented the budget proposal before and after the 2024 budget amendment. Council only considered the proposal after the amendment. Several items were adjusted and Council agreed not to exceed the revenue neutral rate. Treasurer Bolinger made changes to the budget proposal as suggestions were made. The proposed budget hearing date is August 13, 2024 at 6:45 p.m.

Secretary Johnson will email the County Clerk tonight to advise her intention not to exceed the revenue neutral rate. She will also publish hearing notices no later than July 31.
