Two of Stetson Bennett’s biggest games as Georgia’s quarterback came against Alabama. But that wasn’t the reason the Los Angeles Rams’ backup quarterback wore a Crimson Tide shirt and cap on Wednesday at the NFL team’s practice facility in Woodland Hills, California.

The evidence comes from the social media accounts of Miller Forristall, a former Alabama tight end who is now on the Rams’ practice squad.

Bennett was in Alabama gear after the Crimson Tide defeated Georgia 41-34 in an SEC showdown on Saturday night.

In Bennett’s final two seasons with the Bulldogs, Georgia lost once – a 41-24 setback to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 4, 2021. Bennett and the Bulldogs came back five weeks later to defeat the Tide 33-18 in the CFP National Championship game .

Forristall played against Georgia twice at Alabama, including Bennett’s first game against the Tide – a 41-24 loss for the Bulldogs on October 17, 2020. Forristall also played in Alabama’s 35-28 victory over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on October 17. December 2020 1. 2018.
