Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw break rankings after ‘craziest segment’ on NFL show | Other | sport

Jimmy Johnson sparked a wave of amusement among his FOX Sports NFL Sunday cohorts as he fumbled while analyzing the day’s plays.

As Los Angeles Rams standout Matthew Stafford moved into the guest analyst spot, Johnson joined Howie Long, Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan in pondering the Atlanta Falcons’ clash with the Carolina Panthers. Following Stafford’s incisive thoughts on the faceoff, Bradshaw praised the Rams sensation for his snarky comment under duress and even humorously suggested that Stafford might take his spot, causing the rest of the guests to laugh.

When it was Johnson’s time to shine, his thoughts turned to the New Orleans Saints instead of the scheduled Los Angeles Chargers-Denver Broncos game. Long couldn’t help but blurt out, “You forgot!”, which sparked infectious laughter from Bradshaw, Menefee and Strahan at Johnson’s gaffe.

Johnson continued despite the laughter, describing in detail the dynamic between the two actual competitors. After the 81-year-old legend completed his analysis, Strahan called the segment “the craziest segment” they’d seen in the studio in ages.

During a segment that grabbed everyone’s attention, NFL icon Terry Bradshaw didn’t hold back with his views on the New England Patriots’ latest strategy. The veteran sports analyst criticized the decision to cut Jacoby Brissett in favor of rookie Drake Maye, exclaiming, “This is a terrible move. Brissett did everything he could to keep the thing going. This is a terrible offensive line. The only key word there is.” Pressure.

To make his point, Bradshaw invoked the spirit of rock royalty, musing to his colleagues: “Freddie Mercury from Queen, remember that song?” before continuing: “Pressure! Coming down… remember that song? Drake Maye will be. “Under pressure. That’s already a bad move, and your starting center, (David) Andrews, deserves to move on and ditch this kid.

While Bradshaw’s analysis was certainly notable, it was his spontaneous performance that had his co-hosts laughing. Howie Long teased him, asking, “When you looked at that in the mirror last night, did it come out better?” To which Bradshaw quipped with a smile, “Howie, you’re not going to believe this. I just came up with it.” “Right here, on live television,” Michael Strahan, at the age of 76, was already impressed by the veteran’s repartee.

“The way your brain thinks blows us all away,” Strahan admitted.
