Miami’s Santa’s Enchanted Forest will remain closed this year – NBC 6 South Florida

After 40 years of bringing a piece of the North Pole to South Florida, Santa’s Enchanted Forest has announced it will not reopen in 2024.

The Miami vacation presenter announced this on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Santa’s Enchanted Forest remains closed for the 2024 season as we reflect on four magical decades of cherished memories and plans for the future,” the post reads. “As a beloved South Florida tradition, we have had the honor of being a part of countless family gatherings, filling the air with twinkling lights, laughter and holiday cheer.”

The Christmas attraction spent decades at Tropical Park before the county refused to renew its lease in 2020. They then moved to Medley.

A competing attraction, Christmas Wonderland, opened at Tropical Park in 2023, prompting a lawsuit from Santa’s Enchanted Forest.

Santa’s Enchanted Forest thanked its patrons in its Instagram post.

“Although we will not be welcoming visitors this year, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for being an integral part of our journey. Your support was the real magic behind our story,” the post reads. “As you celebrate the holidays this season, we hope you carry with you the warmth of the memories we have created together. We wish you and your loved ones much joy, love and the special wonder that this season brings.” “
