It’s been 15 days since the Mets last played at Citi Field.

And it wasn’t just the usual two weeks, as the team had to fight through a stressful period to be able to play in front of their hometown fans again.

It took some late inning magic along the way, but we’re finally here.

After sleeping in their own beds, the Mets will host the NL East champion Phillies in Games 3 and 4 of their NLDS matchup with a chance to win the series at their home stadium.

Although it’s been a long and winding road, they’re definitely happy to finally be back.

“We knew it wouldn’t be easy” Carlos Mendoza said. “We had to go through a lot, but I always had faith in the boys, in the players. We continued to believe. We took it one day at a time, one series at a time. We’ll continue to do that – and a huge opportunity to win a series and move on.”
