It was an eventful Emmys night for Melissa Peterman! The actress joined E!’s Countdown to the Emmys before walking the red carpet with her co-star and friend Reba McEntire and then presenting an award. But first, she took a moment to get everything in order before the celebrities arrived.

Melissa shared a video ahead of the show of herself slaying the red carpet in full glamour, wearing a black dress with a sheer organza overlay by Staud. For the evening, she chose a dramatic updo to complete the look, which she said was inspired by Brigitte Bardot.

In the video, she proclaims, “The red carpet is ready” because “Meryl Streep is on her way!” Melissa’s fans showed their appreciation in the comments section with messages like, “You are the funniest!❤️” and “There’s a reason you’ve been one of my favorite actors and people since I was a kid!
