    Mega Millions winning numbers for 10/4/24: Jackpot of $129 million

    The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow, reaching an estimated $129 million in Tuesday’s drawing after no one won the top prize on Friday.

    The winning numbers were drawn just after 11pm on Friday and we have included them below.

    In March, a lucky Mega Millions player from New Jersey won a whopping $1.1 billion. Although this prize has not yet been claimed, the lottery says it is not the first time a jackpot has gone unclaimed.

    If someone had won Friday night’s $108 million jackpot, they could have taken home an estimated lump sum payout of $52.2 million, according to the lottery.

    Below are the winning numbers from Friday, October 4th’s Mega Millions drawing.

    There were no lucky winners for Match 5 or Match 5 + Megaplier in Friday night’s drawing. Tuesday’s drawing rose to an estimated $129 million.

    How to play Mega Millions

    To purchase a ticket, you’ll need to visit your local supermarket, gas station, or convenience store – and in a few states you can purchase tickets online.

    To play you must select six numbers. Five numbers are white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold mega ball is a number between 1 and 25.

    If you think the odds are stacked against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer then randomly generates the numbers for you.

    Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-top prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn on Tuesday and Friday before the Mega Millions numbers.

    There are 15 Megapiler balls in total:

    • 3Xsix balls
    • 4Xthree balls
    • 5Xa ball

    Where can you buy lottery tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased in person at gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
