Alexei Dyumin noted that the President prioritizes physical culture and sports as one of the strategically important areas for the country. This was the reason for the creation of a separate State Council commission on this issue. The commission will act as an effective permanent platform for the development of proposals and initiatives related to physical culture and sports in Russia, as well as for the exchange of views between the federal authorities, regions and the expert community, said the State Council Secretary.

In addition, Alexei Dyumin stressed that many policies and mechanisms in Russian sport need to be restarted and updated: structural changes in the management system, positioning on the international stage and the inclusion of alternative competition formats within the BRICS and SCO countries.

Mikhail Degtyarev reported on the implementation of the President’s instructions, including the creation of a foundation that will provide additional support to children’s and youth sports, mass sports, sports schools, the Russian Olympic Committee, the Russian Paralympic Committee, the Russian Deaflympic Committee, the Special Olympics of Russia, and national and regional sports federations. The foundation will help implement new formats for international competitions and develop sports infrastructure. The foundation is financed mainly with earmarked donations from the gambling sector.

Finally, Dmitry Milyayev Milyaev DmitriActing Governor of the Tula Region stressed the importance of creating equal conditions for the rehabilitation, socialization and professional development of veterans of special military operations within the framework of local adaptive physical culture and sports programs.
