McDonald’s: The new Crocs Happy Meal inspires adults more than children

Adults love it.

McDonald’s is working with Crocs on a new Happy Meal that is attracting a lot of attention from adults – even though it is supposedly intended for children.

Instagram food news account @snackolator shared that the Crocs Happy Meal will include “exclusive Croc Clips,” mini keychains in the shape of the iconic rubber clogs.

The meal comes in a Croc-branded Happy Meal box, and the Crocs Clips have their own packaging and themed stickers.

“These are currently available in a handful of countries and there are 10 in total and each one comes in a cute little Crocs box,” the post said.

However, they clarified: “A big hint that the designs (and quantity) may vary in the US, but the Happy Meal is definitely coming to the US.”

Moms, dads and other adults expressed excitement about the two brands coming together in the comments section, saying they couldn’t wait to get their hands on one of the unexpected combinations.

“Yeeeeeees. Do we already know which countries?” asked an excited customer.

“Your extra crispy Coke comes with a mini Croc,” noted another.

“I know someone who gets Happy Meals to get some Croc keychains,” one person wrote.

“I’m an adult who buys Happy Meals,” commented one.

“Love it! I was hoping we’d get these. It goes well with my Croc hand sanitizer holder from Bath and Body Works,” another shared.

Others noted that McDonald’s had not taken into account its main target group – children.

“As a kid, I would be sad to get one of these,” wrote one person. “I miss the days when there were real toys, like those electronic games.”

“What the hell happened to the toys I used to get when I was younger,” remarked one Debbie Downer. “I really miss them – why does so much stuff always have to disappear and be replaced by garbage?”

“This is just sad! Remember when Mickey D’s had cooler Happy Meal toys?” recalled another.

The Crocs Happy Meal is currently available in some international markets. It is unclear when exactly it will launch in the US.
