Mavs prepare for final fall meet at Diamante Intercollegiate

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Arkansas – The UT Arlington women’s golf team will round out its fall season with the three-day Diamante Intercollegiate in Little Rock, scheduled to begin Sunday, Oct. 20, at Diamante Country Club.

The Mavericks have secured top-five finishes in their first two games as a team – Maverick Classic (3rd) and Bearkat Invitational (4th). Junior Nitisha Manikandesh was the best player in every single tournament this fall season with two top-10 finishes.

IN THE LINEUP

Manikandesh

  • Manikandesh is coming off a top-20 appearance at the Lady Red Wolves Classic at Arkansas State last week, posting rounds of 76-72-75 and totaling three rounds of par or better so far this season.

Bhoga

  • Bhoga hopes to end her first collegiate season on a high note after competing in three contests for the Mavericks. The freshman’s best finish came at UTA’s season-opening Maverick Classic with a T-10 finish.

Fork

  • The junior has competed in 21 events in her three-year career at Arlington, as the Highland Village native is coming off a tough week in Jonesboro at the Arkansas State event. Gabel’s best round was a second-round 71 in September at the Maverick Classic.

Gulhane

  • Gulhane will enter the final event of the fall with a top-15 finish at the Maverick Classic, where she posted two rounds of 72 to help her achieve an impressive overall performance. This week’s performance will be her twelfth in college.
