Marvin Harrison Jr. comes to life in the second half against the Dolphins

Arizona Cardinals fans, rejoice! Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. scored a second-half touchdown for the first time in his career on Sunday.

After being largely uninvolved in every quarter except the first in the first seven games of his NFL career, Harrison was a key figurehead in chipping away at the Miami Dolphins’ lead late in the third quarter.

Trying to capitalize on a Miami safety before the possession, quarterback Kyler Murray and the offense used eight plays to move the chains before the signal caller sent them flying towards Harrison.

The rookie did the rest:

With the 22-yard touchdown grab, Harrison is now up to five touchdowns on the season. This is the pace of all Cardinals pass catchers right now.

Arizona couldn’t quite complete the drive, however, as running back James Conner failed to capitalize on the two-point conversion to tie the game.

Heading into the game, the third quarter hadn’t exactly gone well for Harrison with two catches for 24 yards.

That’s a far cry from his 11-catch, 106-yard split in the first quarter, which included four trips to the end zone.

Harrison followed the touchdown problem with a great third-down catch, securing the game-winning first down. He backed that up with another 20-yard snag to put Arizona deep into Miami territory.

Harrison’s catches helped set up a two-yard touchdown from Conner to make it 27-25.

However, Harrison wasn’t the only Cardinal to impact Miami’s receiving game.

Despite not finding the end zone, tight end Trey McBride had seven catches for 100 yards.

Murray must have gotten the memo that it was National Tight Ends Day!
