Many people at WWE are excited about this restructuring of the company’s programming.

In July, WWE announced that ESPN commentator Joe Tessitore would be joining the company and working in the commentary booth. In the company’s press release, Tessitore said the following about his move to the sports entertainment giant:

The recent success and evolution is undeniable,” said Tessitore. “You could feel it at WrestleMania XL – from Cody, Seth, Roman and The Rock to the creative staff and production, these are some of the best storytellers on television. Corey and Wade are absolute stars and I’m honored to join their team. Pat and Cole are just magic together and Cole is the greatest to ever sit in that chair. As a lifelong viewer, I’m honored to join this team and serve our fans.”

During the SummerSlam pre-show, Michael Cole announced that Joe Tessitore will take his place on Raw on September 2nd.

According to a recent report from WrestleVotes, many people in the company are excited about Tessitore’s addition to the Raw commentary team. The report states:

A proven sports reporter with years of experience, including Monday Night Football, Top Rank Boxing and multiple BCS Bowl games, Tessitore brings the professional tone WWE was looking for.

He will work closely with Michael Cole, a strong supporter of Tessitore, in the initial phase.

Booker T had advice for Joe Tessitore when he joined the WWE

Booker T, who comments on the action on NXT every week, is very aware of the chaotic environment of the WWE and the challenge that Tessitore takes on. In a comment on the re-signing of his Hall of Fame In the podcast, the former world champion welcomed Tessitore to the team and advised the commentator to delete all of his social media profiles as online wrestling fans may not respond properly:

“Welcome to the family, welcome to the team, Joe. I’ve been a huge fan of his work in boxing for many, many years. I’m a huge boxing fan, so I’ve heard the name Joe Tessitore. I’ll tell you right now, he’s entering a different arena now. He’s entering the wrestling world, so I don’t know if Joe Tessitore knows anything about Instagram or Twitter.
