North Carolina natives Eric Church and Luke Combs will join James Taylor and Billy Strings for “Concert For Carolina” to support charities helping communities recover from Hurricane Helene.

The benefit show, scheduled for October 26 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, will feature performances by Church, Combs, Strings, Taylor and others. All proceeds will benefit Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in the Carolinas, according to a press release. The show is presented by two organizations: Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority.

Church took to Instagram on Monday to clarify his involvement with the show.

“This is my home. It’s in every fiber of me. Our family members, friends, neighbors and communities are in dire need,” Church wrote in a post. “It is an honor to share the stage with an incredible cast to meet these needs. Light will shine through the darkness.”

Combs also posted about writing the concert: “I told y’all I have something big planned for Carolina. One of the ways we’re helping is with a charity concert at Bank of America Stadium on October 26th! This concert required so much planning, work and coordination from so many people. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make this possible on such short notice.

Strings shared on Instagram that he was “honored” to join the group helping hurricane victims. Taylor, who will join the headlining group, has an obvious Carolina connection with his classic “Carolina in My Mind.”

Church recently released “Darkest Hour (Helene Edit)” and pledged his royalties to Hurricane Helene relief efforts in his home state.

Proceeds from Concert For Carolina will be divided equally between the church’s Chief Cares and Combs organizations, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC and another charity to be announced .

According to their website, Chief Care “focuses on supporting established charities and organizations that are well-run and organized and can deliver assistance directly to families affected by Hurricane Helene.”
