The Arizona Cardinals will resume their 2024 NFL regular season schedule with a Week 2 NFL game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, September 15.

This is the first of three consecutive home games for Arizona. The Cardinals will host the Detroit Lions in NFL Week 3 on September 22 before hosting the Washington Commanders in NFL Week 4 on September 29.

Follow our live updates on the game, which will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for the latest scores, news, notes and analysis on the Week 2 NFL game between the NFC West division rivals.

The Cardinals started a drive inside their own 1-yard line and needed a quick gain. Kyler Murray ran to Marvin Harrison Jr. on the sideline and gained 15 yards.

The play, which was similar to a play a week ago in Buffalo where the pass was incomplete, illustrated the connection between the quarterback and his No. 1 receiver.

In 10 minutes of play, Murray has completed 4 of 5 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Harrison has been targeted on four of those attempts and has three catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

After breaking away from his defender, Marvin Harrison Jr. caught his second pass – and second touchdown pass – of the game.

The 60-yard completion came on the first play of the Cardinals’ second possession.

Result: Cardinals 14, Rams 0 (8:07 Q1)

Kyler Murray completed a 23-yard pass into the back of the end zone, scoring the first touchdown in Marvin Harrison Jr.’s young NFL career.

The rookie receiver had a quiet debut a week ago with a 4-yard catch. The Arizona home crowd was anything but quiet after the catch gave the Cardinals a 7-0 lead.

Result: Cardinals 7, Rams 0 (11:03 Q1)

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon threw the red flag after just the third play of the game, and the ruling that the Rams had successfully caught the ball was quickly overturned.

Gannon threw the challenge flag just once during the 2023 season. He now has a 2-0 record in challenges in his career.

The Cardinals deferred. The Rams received the ball to start the game. Blake Corum returned the kickoff 41 yards.

The Arizona Cardinals hosted two Olympic gold medalists on Sunday: Michael Phelps and Noah Lyles.

Phelps is the most successful Olympic medalist of all time. Before retiring from professional swimming, Phelps won 28 Olympic medals, including 23 gold medals.

Lyles won gold in the 100 meters at the 2024 Olympic Games. He also won bronze in the 200 meters at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.

Lyles wore his gold medal around his neck, but Phelps did not. Instead, he shared the moment with his children.

The following players will not be playing in the Cardinals-Rams NFL game in Week 2.
