David Montgomery remained on the field at the end of the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings after being hit at the line of scrimmage by a group of Vikings defenders. It appeared one player landed on the lower half of his leg as he hit the ground. Montgomery limped off the field with help from the trainers after an interception, favoring his left leg, before a false start punted on fourth-and-1 with the Lions trailing 10-0.

The Lions announced that Montgomery’s return is questionable due to a knee injury, and he was seen on the sideline on the stationary bike.

Montgomery signed a two-year contract extension with the Lions on October 12.
