Gillan, who rose to fame for her role as Amy Pond in Doctor Who, recently spoke about the prospect of another film in the Jumanji series and revealed that she would be open to reprising her role as Ruby Roundhouse.

“I don’t know,” she began. “I’m sure it’s difficult to accommodate everyone’s schedules, but I haven’t heard anything about it other than that we’re going to do it at some point. We’re all so excited about it. We all love working on these movies and it’s just a matter of time.”

The star is also known for her role as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and recently commented on the unexpected twist in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which sees Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord give up the reins of the team when he chooses to live on Earth.

Although the character seemingly abandons his superhero mentality, a post-credits message suggested that “the legendary Star-Lord will return,” a hint that surprised Gillan.

“I don’t remember seeing that in the script,” she recalls. “Either I have a bad memory or it wasn’t in there. So it was pretty surprising, but also cool. I thought, ‘Okay, what’s the plan here?'”
