KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas football leads Houston 28-14 at halftime Saturday in a Big 12 Conference game.

Jayhawks quarterback Jalon Daniels threw three touchdown passes, two to tight end Jared Casey and one to wide receiver Quentin Skinner. Running back Devin Neal’s rushing touchdown gave Kansas its second score. On defense, cornerback Cobee Bryant has two interceptions.

The Jayhawks (1-5, 0-3 in the Big 12) are trying to end a five-game losing streak this fall. The Cougars (2-4, 1-2) have the advantage of coming off an open week, just like KU. It will be the first game between these two teams since Houston joined the Big 12.

Kansas Football vs. Houston Prediction

Kansas desperately needs a decisive win against Houston on Saturday. The Jayhawks have been unable to close out games in recent weeks, and that’s a big reason they’re on a losing streak. But they should be able to outscore the Cougars and leave with a 27-20 win.
