Ranaut’s brother’s wedding clashed with Ambani’s

Ranaut announced that her younger brother’s wedding coincided with Ambani’s.

She said, “I got a call from Anant Ambani and he is such a nice boy. He told me, ‘Come to my wedding.’ I said, ‘There is a wedding at my house.’ That day was a very auspicious day and my younger brother got married.”

Ambani-Merchant’s wedding was a high-profile affair

Ambani and Merchant’s wedding took place on July 12 in Mumbai and attracted a host of celebrities from India and abroad.

The guest list included international celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Boris Johnson and John Cena, while Justin Bieber was in sangeet.

Bollywood was well represented with names such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, among others.

Post-wedding events and Ranaut’s next project

Following the wedding, the Ambani family hosted a grand reception on July 14 and another on July 15 for media representatives and their staff.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the blessing ceremony.

Meanwhile, Ranaut’s appearance is planned in Emergency alongside Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary and Milind Soman among others.

The film is based on the period of emergency declared in India in 1975 and was directed by Ranaut.

The release will take place on September 6th.
