    Kamala Harris loses Muslim support due to missing votes from Gaza at party convention

    The campaign group Muslim Women for Harris-Walz announced Thursday that it had withdrawn its support for Kamala Harris’ presidential candidacy and disbanded after the Democratic National Campaign rejected a request to bring a Palestinian speaker on stage.

    “We cannot in good conscience decide, in light of this new information from the Uncommitted Movement, that Vice President Harris’ team has declined her request to bring a Palestinian-American speaker to the DNC stage,” Muslim Women for Harris-Walz continued, the group wrote.

    “The family of the Israeli hostage (Hersh Goldberg-Polin) was on stage tonight and showed more empathy toward Palestinian Americans and Palestinians than our candidate or the DNC.”

    Rachel and Jon Goldberg-Polin, Hersh’s mother and father, stressed in their speech to the DNC that bringing the hostages home was “not a political but a humanitarian” issue.

    In their speech, the two stressed that a ceasefire agreement “will put an end to the despair in the Gaza Strip.”

    “There is great suffering on all sides of the tragic conflict in the Middle East,” Jon added. “And in a contest of pain, there are no winners.”

    On October 7, Hersh was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists at the Nova Music Festival. His friend, Aner Shapira, was murdered by the terrorists.

    In April, Hamas released a video of Hersh missing his left hand. In the Hamas video, Hersh was seen denouncing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government for failing to reach an agreement.
