The The cries of helpless puppies were heard by a sympathetic market employee, who notified the authorities. According to the Gentry Police Department, the day-old puppies were found in a food bag in an outdoor dumpster.

“I’m sure you were aware of the freeze warning last night when you decided to throw these babies away like trash.” Gentry Police wrote on Facebook, directly addressing the person(s) responsible for dropping off the dogs.

These three defenseless puppies – separated from their mother far too early – were taken to a rescue center for treatment. Now they need us as their voice.

We thank the police for taking this case seriously and urge them to identify the perpetrator, determine whether other animals may be in danger, and seek justice for the victims.
