Josh Allen vs. Jets stats: How New York Bills restricted QB and sacked him more times than any other team

The NFL season is already flying by as Week 6 ends with a matchup between the Bills and Jets on “Monday Night Football.”

Josh Allen, arguably the biggest star in the match, will look to lead the Bills to a 4-2 record this season, with a possible win over the Jets.

However, the Jets have given Allen some problems in recent games between Buffalo and New York. When it comes to forcing turnovers and applying defensive pressure, New York has statistically been one of the toughest opponents Allen has faced in his career.

With Allen and the Bills facing the Jets for the first time in 2024, here’s a look at the quarterback’s career numbers compared to New York.

Josh Allen stats vs. Jets

Monday night’s game will be Allen’s 12th in his career against the Jets. The Bills are 7-4 in these games, but Buffalo and New York have also split their last four meetings.

In those 11 games against the Jets, Allen totaled 2,552 passing yards (232.0 per game), 12 passing touchdowns (1.1 per game) and 11 interceptions (one per game). For comparison, Allen has thrown for 23,648 passing yards, 175 touchdowns and 78 interceptions in his career – meaning the Jets have scored 14.1% of the quarterback’s INTs.

However, Allen has yet to throw a pick in five games in 2024. This season, the Bills quarterback has 945 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns and two rushing scores.

Below is a look at Allen’s stats in the air against the Jets throughout his career.

Wins-losses Comp. % Farms passing by Average Pass TDs INTs Evaluation

When the two teams last met in November 2023, Allen recorded 275 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The Bills won that game 32-6.

Jets sacks against Josh Allen

While Allen has the better record in 11 games against New York, the Jets have done an excellent job of putting pressure on the star quarterback when facing him.

Allen recorded 25 career sacks for the Jets, his most against any opponent. Although this mark is slightly inflated by the fact that the Bills and Jets play as division opponents twice a year, it is still more than the Patriots and Dolphins were able to record against Allen.

After Sunday of Week 6 and prior to their Monday Night Football matchup, the Jets have 18 sacks this season, tied for the sixth-most sacks in the NFL with the Bears. Allen could once again be challenged by New York’s aggressive defensive line as both teams look to build momentum for a potential run for the 2024 AFC East title.
