Jonathan Scott And Zooey Deschanel‘S Wedding plans are still pending.

ET’s Nischelle Turner spoke to the groom-to-be ahead of his and his twin brother’s season premiere Drew Scott‘S Promissory note of celebrityand he explained why wedding planning was not a priority, even though he and Zooey got engaged for one year.

“I don’t have any news. I wish I had more exciting news. We just got back from Europe. We just had our daughter’s birthday party and then we had another event and a charity event,” Jonathan explained. “We don’t even feel settled yet, but we’re committed to figuring it out soon.”

Before her relationship with Jonathan, Zooey was married to Jacob Pechenik until 2019The ex-partners share Elsie, 9, and Charlie, 7, and Jonathan sees himself as a “bonus dad” for both children.

Jonathan and Zooey met while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke in August 2019.

“I just remember she had this incredible, high-energy demeanor,” Jonathan told ET of his first meeting with his now-fiancée. “We hit it off right from the start.”

Drew couldn’t be happier that Jonathan has found love with Zooey, who he says is “so perfect” for his brother. Drew knows what love means, having been with his wife Linda Phan for “almost 15 years.” The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, have raised Parker, 2, and Piper, 2 months.

“She’s adorable. She has super deep dimples, which is the most adorable thing about such a little baby,” Drew gushed his newborn daughter. “Now she’s also at the age where she likes to look at you. Before she was just in her own world, but now she looks at you. I can make her laugh. I just sing a song or do something (and) she giggles and kind of laughs.”

When asked what Drew’s son thinks about his little sister, the HGTV son said, “Parker loves her.”

“He just wants to cuddle her and kiss her,” he said. “…When the baby (the first) came, he was a little jumpy. It’s almost like he thought that… she was going to bite him or something. I just thought, ‘She’s not that big.’ And then he got a little jealous and then he started to love her.”

Drew said, “I hope that in the future he will be the big brother who looks after them. They will never fight. I’m pretty sure they will never fight.”

In addition to their busy personal lives, the brothers have a busy schedule. Season 8 of Promissory note of celebrity Premiere. This season features a star-studded cast. There are heartwarming Mandy Moore, Wanda Sykes with a flamethrower, Daniel Trejo with machete and “beast” Jennifer Jason Leighto name just a few.

“Every year I just can’t understand how we pull off this incredible list of huge celebrities who I know are these busy, successful people,” Jonathan marveled, before promising that viewers “will laugh until they cry, they will cry until they laugh.”

The brothers have no plans to slow down any time soon, as they have Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in mind for Promissory note of celebrity‘s next season.

“We’re going to keep doing what we do because we love it. Everything we do is focused on families,” Drew said, with Jonathan adding, “I like how we’re constantly finding ways to evolve the shows and listen to the audience. There’s no shortage of incredible celebrities, incredible stories. I have a feeling you’re not going to get rid of us anytime soon.”

Promissory note of celebrity will premiere on Monday, August 12th on HGTV.
