Jill Duggar supports her sister Jana at her wedding with heartwarming new photos after fans suspected her siblings had ‘canceled’ the wedding

JILL Duggar has nothing but love for her newly married older sister Jana, despite reports of a feud between the siblings.

On Tuesday, Jill, 33, shared a heartwarming video with new images from Jana, 34,’s wedding to Stephen Wissmann, after the couple tied the knot during an “elegant” ceremony last week.

Jana and Stephen, 31, said “I do” on August 15 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, in front of 500 guests, including friends and family members of the couple.

Photos released by People show that although some of the Duggar siblings attended the wedding, Jill did not play a special role in the ceremony.

While fans speculated that Jill’s exclusion from the wedding reception was a sign that she and Jana were growing apart, Jill put an end to any rumors of a falling out with a new Instagram video from the wedding.

The video was set to Bette Midler’s legendary wedding song “Chapel of Love” and included several photos of Jana and Stephen during their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.

Jill also attached a picture of the program, including a list of all the wedding party members, confirming that she was not one of Jana’s bridesmaids.

Some of the photos show Jill and her husband Derick Dillard posing with the newlyweds as well as members of the Duggar family, including parents Jim Bob and Michelle.

Jill captioned the video, “She’s married! Congratulations to my sister Jana Duggar and her husband Stephen Wissman on their wedding last week.”

She also congratulated the “beautiful couple” in her Instagram stories, adding: “Derick and I are so happy for all of you.”

DERICKS REJECTED?

Jill’s posts come after fans noticed that Derick had not publicly congratulated his sister-in-law Jana since the wedding.

Derick’s latest Instagram post is about his and Jill’s memoir, Counting the Cost, and he told fans that “a revised/updated edition of our book is coming soon!”

Some social media users wondered if Derick’s post was an intentional insult, while others in a Reddit thread said the timing was nothing more than a coincidence.

FAMILY TIRES

Several members of the Duggar clan reunited last week for Jana and Stephen’s wedding. There were surprise sightings of Justin Duggar (21), his wife Claire Duggar (23) and Anna, the wife of his disgraced brother Josh Duggar.

Josh is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence for child pornography.

Jana’s cousin Amy Duggar, who has publicly distanced herself from the reality TV family, was also noticeably absent from the celebrations.

How many children and grandchildren do Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have?

  • Jim Bob and Michelle are parents of 19 children
  • The couple has nine girls and ten boys and all of their children have names that begin with the letter J.
  • Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie all grew up in the family home in Tontitown, Arkansas.

The family’s youngest child, Josie Duggar, 14, also made a rare public appearance at Jana’s wedding, appearing in a video posted by Stephen’s sister, Alaythia Gloria Wissmann.

SAD DAYS

The Duggars’ once-successful TLC show, “19 Kids and Counting,” was canceled in 2015 when Josh was accused of molesting five younger girls, including four of his sisters, when he was 15 years old.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s statement at the time said: “With God’s grace and help, Josh, our daughters and our entire family overcame a terrible situation, found healing and a way forward.”

“We are so pleased with the wonderful adults they have all become.”

In the years that followed, some of the Duggar children publicly denounced the ultra-conservative Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP) religion in which they all grew up.

The family returned with the spin-off “Counting On”, but the series was canceled after Josh was arrested for child pornography.

OUTBREAKOUT OF FREEDOM

Jill had previously spoken about her estrangement from her parents Jim Bob, 59, and Michelle, 57, after admitting in a YouTube video in 2021 that she and Derick had not visited them “in a few years.”

Both Jill and Derick were featured prominently in the 2023 documentary series “Shiny Happy People,” which focuses on the Duggar family’s ties to the IBLP, founded by disgraced pastor Bill Gothard.

In Counting the Cost, the memoir she co-wrote with Derick, Jill also spoke about her early years, revealing the “secrets and manipulation” she was subjected to during her childhood.

She also emphasized that a series of “red flags” ultimately led to her and Derick leaving the IBLP church in 2017.
