Jhon Duran’s Premier League goal of the season for Aston Villa against Everton

Sometimes you just know you’ve witnessed something amazing and Jhon Duran’s goal to complete Aston Villa’s 3-2 comeback win over Everton at Villa Park on Saturday was out of this world.

Duran’s powerful, accurate and lightning-quick strike would have been wonderful on any occasion, but its status as the exclamation point after a comeback from 2-0 down makes it extra special.

“It takes a magical moment like this,” said Ollie Watkins, who scored Villa’s first two goals. “He’s got so much talent and as you’ve seen, he shows it when he gets the chance. I’m delighted for him. … I think this is one of the best games we’ve ever seen.”

Duran received a pass from former Toffees player Ross Barkley and looked straight at goal.

The Colombian fired a brutal off-foot shot from 27 yards out, and Everton’s Jordan Pickford could only paw at the air for a ball that brutally turned away from the goalkeeper and flew into the top 90 yard box.

The power, the agility, the status. Wow. Like Heung-min Son’s long dribble a few years ago, we’ll be seeing this on repeat.
