After months of speculation, Jennifer Lopez has reportedly filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. According to TMZ, the actress filed the legal papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, per per without a lawyer, and there are some explosive claims, such as that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement. She pulled the plug on August 20, their second wedding anniversary. This also happened while Affleck was on a family trip with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children. The date of separation

JLo gave their separation date as April 26, 2024, around the time rumors began swirling that there was trouble in paradise. They were seen together several more times after that to support family milestones like Violet Affleck’s graduation. JLo was also spotted with Samuel Affleck earlier this month.

Was there a prenuptial agreement?

It seems hard to believe, but TMZ reports that Lopez did not mention in her documents whether there is a prenuptial agreement. An insider told the outlet that there is none, meaning that any income or profits they have made over the past two years are joint property. According to the documents, JLo waived spousal support and asked the judge to deny it for Ben.

According to TMZ, everything is still uncertain financially. TMZ reported earlier this month that they are handling everything through their respective managers to sort out the finances.

The couple is still trying to sell their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion, which was one of the first big signs that a divorce was imminent.
