Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney will soon become a family of four. The Oscar-winning actress is pregnant with her second child!

On Sunday, October 20, Vogue confirmed that Lawrence, 34, and Maroney, 40, are currently expecting another baby. The magazine shared the pregnancy news in an article and on its Instagram page.

In Vogue’s Instagram post, which featured a photo of Lawrence posing for the magazine in October 2022 and a photo of her with a small baby bump in Los Angeles on October 19, the fashion house congratulated the couple and said, a representative confirmed the news.

This will be the second child for Lawrence and Maroney, who are parents to two-year-old son Cy Maroney.

Lawrence and her husband, an art gallery dealer, have been married since 2019. British Vogue reported at the time that they tied the knot at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island, with celebrity friends including Emma Stone, Adele and Kris Jenner in attendance.

From the moment they met, Lawrence and Maroney mostly kept their relationship out of the public eye, with the No Hard Feelings star rarely making comments about it in the last few years since tying the knot had.

In an interview with The New York Times in 2022, she asked if he was the right person for her.

“If you don’t know yourself completely, you have no idea where to put yourself,” she explained. “And then I met my husband and he said, ‘Put yourself here.’ I thought, ‘This feels right, but what if it doesn’t?'”

But she realized she was ready to commit to Maroney.

“I wasn’t aware of it. Then I went back, and when I’m back home and my husband is starting this family, I’m so glad I stayed,” she continued. “I’m so glad I didn’t freak out, call off the wedding, run away and say, ‘I’ll never let anyone get me down!'”

She also commented on her decision to take his last name and become Jennifer Maroney.

“I was born with the name Jennifer Lawrence, but when I was 21 the name was taken away from me and I never got it back,” she noted. “So it didn’t feel like I was giving anything up. This name is already theirs.”

Maroney and Lawrence took another step in their relationship when they became parents. She discussed motherhood and watching Maroney care for her son while chatting with Cameron Diaz for Interview Magazine in June 2023.

She said that since birth, she has had to change her criteria when it comes to signing up for new film projects.

“Is it worth being away from my child for half the day?” she asks herself now.

She added: “Luckily my husband is the greatest father in the whole world. So when I’m working, I don’t feel any more guilt than the usual, everyday, all-day parental guilt.”

Although Lawrence hasn’t appeared in a film since No Hard Feelings, she has several films in production and development, according to IMDb.
