It’s Halloween again and two things are inevitable: you’ll run out of candy before young trick-or-treaters have knocked on your door, and social media feeds will be flooded with costumed celebrities.

Janelle Monae was almost unrecognizable as the lovable alien

Janelle Monae appeared as ET, the alien from the 1982 film, and wore some incredible prosthetics when she appeared on a Halloween special of the Jennifer Hudson show.

“It opens up a larger discussion about how do we become agents of joy? How do we become agents of happiness?”

“Bringing Halloween experiences and creative experiences is a labor of love, not hard work. I do this because my heart needs it.”
