Jamahal Hill counters Magomed Ankalaev: “They are easy prey”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill attacked Magomed Ankalaev.

Ankalaev (19-1-1 MMA, 10-1-1 UFC) made fun of about Hill’s reaction to the announcement of the title fight between light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree, which will headline UFC 307 on October 5.

“Why is Jamahal Hill crying? Pereira just put you to sleep. Get back in the game and work your way up or get ready for Abu Dhabi because Rakic could pull out.”

Ankalaev was passed over for a title shot and forced to face Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 308 on October 26 in Abu Dhabi. Hill (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) believes Ankalaev is trying to win over fans by attacking him.

“I did a reaction video to the announcement of the title fight between Khalil Rountree and Alex Pereira and there was a guy who, yes, I admit he got stalled by the industry and I suppose he learned his lesson and has to be careful what he says because, as you know, we’re talking about Mrs. – I won’t even – little ‘Frudamed Gankalaev,’ ankle grabber, whatever you want to call him,” Hill said on his YouTube channel. “This guy just can’t stop making an impact in every way he can. You fought to a draw, you had your chance to win the title. Well, I’m one of the people that agrees that he should have been next in line ahead of Khalil Rountree in the title fight and I’ve spoken out on that.

“But when you say I’m crying because I talked about an obvious fact of the game that affects everyone in our weight class and stuff like that, then I see what you were trying to do, bro. You see the whole fan base is kind of against me, they kind of want to throw shit at me and stuff like that. You think you can score some cool points by jumping on this bandwagon and trying to challenge me. Stop it, bro. Stop it, bro. I would expect such a low-intelligence move from you, you know what I mean. You don’t want to say anything about the fight announcement because you learned your lesson when every time you lost you talked about how you don’t want to fight for the UFC and how they’ve now slapped your hands on you and now you know you have to watch what you say and hold back.”

Hill warns Ankalaev that he is ready to intervene and confront him if necessary.

“They don’t even like you enough to let you fight the No. 8 guy (for the title),” Hill said. “So stay calm, bro. Stay calm and try to make cool points, bro. Focus on other things. You’ve got a fight coming up against Rakic. Cheers to Rakic because he’s fully capable of kicking your ass. But trust me, when my phone rings and they need someone to step in and take care of you, bro, you’re a no-brainer for me. You’re a no-brainer for me and I can’t wait to show that.”
