‘I’ve never seen Simone (Biles) freak out like that’: Jordan Chiles reveals gymnastics’ GOAT’s rare reaction after meeting a track and field legend at the Paris Olympics

Boulevard de Bercy in Paris’ 12th arrondissement was abuzz as A-list celebs flocked to catch a glimpse of American gymnastics queen Simone Biles. From Lady Gaga, Tom Cruise and Nick Jonas to Bill Gates, Anna Wintour and Snoop Dogg, everyone made the trek to see the world’s most successful gymnast in action. Biles is used to being the star of the show, but even this seven-time Olympic gold medalist has her own moments of acting like a fangirl! That’s exactly what happened when her best friend Jordan Chiles introduced her to track and field legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce!

During their stay in the Olympic Village, Chiles and Biles spent a lot of time together. During one of her putts, the 23-year-old spotted Fraser-Pryce.”I thought to myself, “Hey, Simone, it’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.” Chiles told the three-time Olympian. But she didn’t expect the eleven-time Olympic medalist to behave like that. Biles seemed to be struck by lightning in Mommy Rocket’s presence.

“I’ve never seen Simone (Biles) freak out like that, whoa!” the gymnast revealed in the podcast “Chicks in the Office”. “As if she were right there,” said 27-year-old Jordan Chiles, as if she couldn’t believe her eyes. The two-time Olympic medalist revealed how unusual it felt to see the GOAT of gymnastics like an exuberant fan. “The opposite is the case” when people meet Biles, Chiles said.

However, the World Championship gold medalist was happy to introduce her best friend to the athletics icon. Simone Biles may be the absolute number one in gymnastics, but Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is also one of the greatest sprinters of all time. The eight-time Olympic medalist is the third fastest woman of all time and Simone Biles couldn’t help but feel awe.

Jordan Chiles, who also took part in the discussion, said it was “really cool” interacting with the humble 37-year-old was cool. The fact that Paris 2020 was the Jamaican legend’s last Olympics only made the meeting even more special. Although Fraser-Pryce’s fairytale didn’t end thanks to an injury, her presence inspired Chiles, Biles and many others.

In fact, Simeone Biles wasn’t the only athlete to rave about the three-time Olympic champion. Team New Zealand’s Michaela Blyde had a similar reaction to Biles when she met the athletics icon in the Olympic Village. However, the gymnastics icon from Texas was back to wow her fans at home after her triumphant Olympic performance.

The Simone Biles effect that Jordan Chiles knows

During her performance at the “Girls in the office” On her podcast, Jordan Chiles said she’s no stranger to fans being in awe of Simone Biles. And who could blame them? Even the U.S. men’s basketball team couldn’t help but be in awe as they sat courtside in Paris to watch Biles win yet another Olympic gold. With stars like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker cheering them on, NBA players were as mesmerized as anyone else as they witnessed Simone’s jaw-dropping routines up close.

Curry, who recorded the action on his phone, summed it up perfectly: “To see that athleticism, the composure of Simone and Suni in that moment, how they knew what they had to do and then did it, was absolutely incredible. It’s incredible to watch them.” With every flawless flip, the whole team burst into cheers and celebrated as if they had just won a game themselves.

Athletes inspire other athletes, and greatness inspires other athletes to greatness, brother.” It was clear that the basketball team was soaking up that energy and was ready to channel it into their own pursuit of gold. But Simone’s star status didn’t end there.

After Paris, she and fellow Olympian Gabby Thomas made a surprise appearance at a WNBA game, stunning the Indiana Fever athletes, including Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. The team celebrated their victory by taking photos next to the two Olympic icons – a moment they won’t soon forget.

Chiles is used to people going crazy over her best friend, but even she could understand why Biles was so overwhelmed when she met track and field legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Given her career began with Olympic gold in 2008 and has seen Jamaica dominate track and field ever since, it’s no surprise that Simone Biles has so much respect for the trailblazing Fraser-Pryce!
