It’s time for basketball: Spurs at Thunder

Welcome to the gaming thread. Veterans of the game thread know how we operate here, but for anyone new, we have a few rules. Our Community Guidelines Apply and basically say: Be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll, and don’t curse too much.

The Spurs, fresh off a home baseball series against the Rockets where they lost 1-1, tonight face the undefeated Thunder, who have won by nearly 20 points per game so far this season. It’s the first night in a row for Spurs, so we’ll see if Pop continues last year’s policy of not playing Wembanyama on consecutive nights. Saving Wemby for the winless Jazz tomorrow might be a better strategy to maximize the Silver and Black’s wins, but playing him against the Thunder might be a better learning opportunity for the great French prodigy.

Oklahoma City is severely lacking in quality players and is almost forced to play Chet Holmgren at center instead of his preferred power forward position. Spurs should have a size advantage tonight and hitting the ball inside will be their best opportunity to cause an upset on their opponents’ home field. Let’s keep an eye on the underdogs and get excited.

Match prediction:

Jeremy Sochan will come to the game in his Halloween costume as Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street, as he is the team’s garbage man.

A final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
