Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show Monday morning, insider Adam Schefter reported disturbing news for fans of the Black and Gold hoping their team can land 31-year-old All-Pro receiver Davante Adams.

While there was speculation that the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, two of the favorites to land the wide receiver, would dial back the aggressiveness of their pursuit of Adams, Schefter reported that staying in Las Vegas was more of a realistic possibility as time passes.

Schefter confirmed the Raiders’ asking price for their player, but added a new layer of drama: The team doesn’t want to take on any of Adams’ salary and won’t move on those two areas of the trade. It was also reported that the All-Pro receiver is a big fan of current Raiders QB Aiden O’Connell and many within the Raiders organization could welcome him back.
