In Grant Holloway’s family tree: Meet the US Olympian’s father Stan, mother Latasha and brother Trey

Grant Holloway is Olympic champion for the first time in his career.

The US sprinter joins a large group of track and field athletes aiming to win a medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The United States has won 30 gold medals at the 2024 Olympic Games, including nine in track and field.

Holloway’s career began in childhood when he ran track with his older brother Trey, and it’s fair to say that the younger brother is a better runner today.

In addition to his track and field skills, Holloway was also a standout wide receiver in high school. He chose to study track and field at the University of Florida rather than football at the University of Georgia.

Here’s a closer look at the Holloway family tree, including Grant’s mother, father and older brother.

“We feel great,” Latasha told WAVY’s Marielena Balouris on August 3. “I’m feeling great. The nerves haven’t set in yet. You know, it’s just an incredible experience to be able to be here with Grant.”

Latasha added that Grant said it was important for his family to be at the Olympics to support him. The Holloway family was unable to attend the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19 restrictions.
