40 years ago, Akira Toriyama introduced Dragon Ball, a now-iconic series that was transformed from its beginnings as a popular manga into a franchise that includes books, anime, and merchandise. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan and more are anchored in the story. It’s now time for a new iteration.

The series marks the final project for the late Toriyama, who died last March, and sparked tributes from his colleagues and fans around the world.
