About three years ago, this 25-year-old woman and her ex-boyfriend Jake, who is 27, were in a committed relationship. At that point, they had been together for almost four years, so she really thought they would end up getting married.

In fact, she and Jake had even discussed the idea of ​​getting married.

“But about a year before we broke up, I noticed something was wrong. He was distant, often ‘busy’ with work, and his phone was suddenly off limits,” she recalls.

Later, she finally found out the reason. Apparently, Jake had actually cheated on her with her own cousin named Sarah, and she was heartbroken.

This was especially devastating because she and Sarah had a very close relationship as children and she never believed her cousin would ever do something like that.

When she learned the truth, she immediately broke up with Jake and cut off contact with Sarah. Although her family had obviously heard about the incident, she still tried to justify her cousin’s actions.

“They made excuses like, ‘She’s young and made a mistake’ or ‘The real fault lies with Jake,'” she revealed.

It also seems that Jake and Sarah did not consider the infidelity to be wrong, because the two are now actually engaged.

“To say I’m still hurting would be an understatement. My family, however, seems to have completely moved on,” she said.
