The custom TRX, pictured on stock Goodyear Wrangler Territory off-road tires, has just under 20,000 miles on the clock. It was recently repainted and instead of keeping it, Cleetus will be giving it away to one lucky fan.

For every $5 you spend on Cleetus McFarland air fresheners, clothing, stickers, and other stuff, you get one entry. In other words, the more stuff you buy from this guy, the better your chances of winning the one-of-a-kind truck – $20,000 in cash. Whatever the case, your chances are slim, because McFarland has 3.78 million subscribers on YouTube.

To convert this Ram 1500 TRX from a crew cab to a regular cab, no less than 31 inches (787.4 millimeters) were cut out of the frame rails. Although the suspension and transfer case mounting points were retained, the driveshaft also had to be shortened.

Although it is not clear how much money was spent on this construction, we can only estimate. McFarland called it “a $100,000 mistake” on day one, even though the 2021 model year TRX retailed for $69,995 before taxes and options. Let’s say the body shop got $10,000 to rebuild the regular cab. Add $27,675 for the Hellephant C170, then a few thousand for the belts and repaint, and you’re at least $115,000.
