Haynes King injury update: Georgia Tech QB’s status vs. Virginia Tech is being determined

ESPN Insider Pete Thamel provided an update Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King before the Yellow Jackets’ game against Virginia Tech on Saturday. According to Thamel, King is out for the game and will be out for the second week in a row.

“Sources: Georgia Tech starting quarterback Haynes King will miss today against Virginia Tech. Veteran reserve Zach Pyron will start again for Georgia Tech,” Thamel wrote on Twitter.

Haynes King also couldn’t keep up last weekend Notre Dame. Zach Pyron He started in his place and was 20 of 36 for 269 yards, with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions against the Irish.

As for Pyron, he is now in his third season with the show. Pyron has starting experience dating back to his actual freshman season in 2022. He initially came to Georgia Tech as a three-star recruit in the class of 2022, according to On3 Industry Rating.

Georgia Tech enters Saturday’s game with a record of 5-3 (3-2) and has a chance to qualify for the bowl with a win over Virginia Tech.

The Hokies are now 4-3 (2-1) this season. Virginia Tech has won two games in a row for dominant victories Stanford And Boston College.

Saturday’s game is scheduled for midday. It is televised by the ACC Network.
