Haryana Election Results 2024 by Seats: Complete List of Winners | Latest News India

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to form the government in Haryana for the third time as trends show the party candidates leading the majority of seats in the state.

The BJP’s intensive election campaign, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, managed to consolidate the vote share of most non-Jaats, non-Muslims and other backward classes in the northern state.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who contested from Ladwa constituency, claimed his seat while other key candidates including Mukesh Sharma and Moolchand Sharma are leading from their respective constituencies.

The BJP’s miraculous recovery from early trends

Contrary to various election predictions, the Bharatiya Janata Party staged a stunning comeback after initial trends suggested the saffron party lagging behind by a wide margin. At the time of writing, the BJP was leading with 50 seats in the 90-member Haryana Assembly compared to 35 seats for the Congress.

Haryana polls: Chautala magic fades

Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) founder, once a kingmaker, Dushyant Singh Chautala, the great-grandson of former deputy prime minister Devi Lal, suffered a setback as he continued to resign from his Uchan Kalan seat. Most of his party’s leaders also fail to adopt the 3 p.m. trend.

The JJP fought the assembly elections this year in alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad’s Azad Samaj Party (ASP-Kanshi Ram). JJP won 70 seats while Azad Samaj Party retained 20 seats.

Bhupinder Hooda and Vinesh Phogat shine in the poll results

Bhupinder Hooda, the former Congress chief minister and a prominent political leader in Haryana, won with a huge margin of 71465 votes against his stronghold Garhi Sampla-Kiloi.

Vinesh Phogat, who recently joined politics to contest her first election from Haryana’s Julana seat, also won.

IND Savitri Jindal wins, Devender Kadyan leads

Former BJP leaders Savitri Jindal and Devender Kadyan, who quit the party weeks before the Haryana assembly elections to contest as independents, managed to make an impression on voters.

While Savitri Jindal, India’s richest woman, who contested from Hisar constituency, won the seat. Devender Kadyan, who is contesting from Ganaur seat, also won.
