Good weather means lots of fun. After a cold front on Wednesday, Halloween should be a perfect night for trick-or-treating across most of the Big Country on Thursday.

Sunshine and a high of 76 degrees are expected during the day, according to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo. The evening will be cool. A low of 54 is forecast, but winds should be in the 5 mph range.

With these pleasant, seasonal temperatures, children should be going door-to-door in large numbers. Sunset will be at 6:48 p.m., so drivers in the neighborhood are advised to drive slowly as dusk falls and eyes adjust.

However, it is expected to rain again on Friday, with a 30 percent chance during the day and a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms on Friday evening. The chances increase on Saturday, remain at 50 percent and then rise to 70 percent at night.

This 50 percent chance remains through the weekend, dropping to 40 percent on Monday and then to 30 percent on Tuesday.
